It is in Sicily that Cantine Ermes is born, develops, has roots and the largest number of members and hectares: between the provinces of Trapani, Agrigento and Palermo, in fact, are cultivated over 6,000 hectares of vineyards. Areas extremely different from each other, with characteristics and peculiarities that make the production rich and varied.

Santa Ninfa (TP)

Sites and headquarters

It is the historical headquarters of Cantine Ermes, the first site, where most of the grapes are still received and vinified. It is here that grapes are selected and destined to the different projects carried out by the winery.

Located on the south-western coast of Sicily, Marsala is historically a land of great viticulture recognised worldwide. Its soils, rich in sand and stones, boast a composition rich in iron microelements.

In vigna

Partanna, from the Arabic term bartannah, means “dark land”, and it is precisely the dark land that characterises the area which allows the cultivation of the autochthonous varieties that best represent the Belìce Valley.

Here we take care of the packaging, thanks to four dedicated lines. Production ranges from the most traditional bottles with cork to stelvin closures, from special formats to Bag in Box.

Warehouse storage goods

The structure is composed of two areas, one used as a warehouse, therefore suitable for storing goods, the other used as a fruit cellar, that is dedicated to all the drying projects carried out by Cantine Ermes.

A site dedicated to the aging and preservation of wines is the former Cantina Aquila in Salemi. Among the characteristics of Cantine Ermes there is, in fact, the tendency to valorise and renew pre-existing facilities, often in disuse or partially used, by making their strong points emerge.

Cantina Sicilia

Is an ageing cellar, in which, inside 150 tonneaux and 350 barriques, the Company’s red wine selections mature. The Baglio is the structure designated for cellar hospitality and events, thanks to the Sensory Space and the Barriques Museum located inside.

Palma di Montechiaro

Cantina del Gattopardo

For some years now, we have been working with the former Cantina Sociale del Gattopardo in Palma di Montechiaro. A town rich in history, both from a cultural and agricultural point of view, it is located in an area with a strong vocation for the production of red grapes such as Nero d’Avola, which gives its best expression in this area.
